Student Externships/Internships
Our staff and clients love hosting students, it is our way of giving back to the veterinary profession! Mentoring will be provided by experienced veterinarians in the lameness, field surgery, medicine, emergency, reproduction, acupuncture, chiropractic, dentistry and more. We not only encourage you to think critically about each case but also teach you about the importance of quality care and clear communication. You will gain hands on experience and build a strong foundation that you can build upon as you continue your journey.
Who can apply?
Whether you are a pre-vet student looking to gain extra experience for your applications or a vet student ready to be challenged, we would love to have you!
How to apply...
Send us an e-mail with your resume and/or CV and tell us a little bit about yourself, when and how long you would like to visit, and why you think an externship at VIP Equine would be good for you! The primary goal is to give the student an in-depth exposure of an ambulatory veterinarian.
Requirements:
Students are required to provide their own health insurance, and if permitting AVMA PLIT (veterinary students only). Students will be expected to provide their own transportation to and from the office or meeting site.
